Dog Agility
Something I like to do in my spare time is work on agility with my dog. I have trained her how to do the obstacles in an agility course. She knows the A-frame, the jumps, dog walk, tunnel, tire (a hoop),shes working on teeter and chute. She is a very smart dog and easy to train. So far I have only competed in one trail (2009) but she did very well. We won first in all of the three we entered but only qualified in two. We didn't qualify in the last one because I took her over the wrong jump. Dandy enjoys agility and I suggest that people who have a dog, spare time, and pactions, should find some sport to do with their dog. It could include Fly ball, Herding, or any other fun sport. Any dog can do it, whether its a mutt or pedigree, they are judged no different in any of the sports. Choose a sport its a great way for you and your dog to build trust and respect, yet have fun at the same time! Of course don't think you wont be frustrated every once in a while, because some dogs may be more resistant than others, but don't let thatshy you away. Just give it a try, and challenge yourself!

Warriors
Have you ever found a book that makes you look forward to reading? Well I did a while ago and ever since Ive been reading every new book that comes out in the series. The series is called Warriors. Its about cats that live in clans out in the forest. They live like wildcats only in clans and their are four clans. Each clan has borders and when an rival clan crosses into their territory its war! Their are many books in the series the first being "Into the Wild". The main character Rusty is living with people in the start when he becomes curios and ventures off into the forest were he is spotted by Graypaw,a clan apprentice. Rusty is then brought to Thunder clan camp, were clan leader will decide what to do with him.
To find out what happens to Rusty pick up the book at the library, its worth it.

A race for conservation
Cheetahs are one of my favorite animals, and also on the endangered list. Going from 0 to 70 cheetahs are known to be the fastest land animals in the world. Though cheetahs are fast they can't out run the hunters who kill them for their pelts
Kenya is one of the few places left that cheetahs live, and even these places are shrinking. Farmers are also killing cheetahs because they mistake their livestock for prey. Then there is the genetic problem cheetahs face. Cheetahs have such a small genie pool that males are now being born sterile and this puts a negative effect on the breeding programs that are trying to save the wild cheetahs. Cheetahs in captivity often die from kidney failure because of lack of exercise, so the without the wild cheetahs the cheetahs in captivity will be all we will have left of a graceful speed daemons, and even then who knows how long before the captive cheetahs die off. Please log on http://www.cheetah.org/ to find out more and to help the cheetahs battle for survival. Below is a king cheetah one of the rarest of all..
